Dr. VanLeeuwen earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Dayton. He then received his MD at The Medical University of Ohio (at Toledo) and subsequently completed an Internship, Adult Psychiatry Residency, and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. He is board certified. He has worked in a variety of settings including Community Mental Health Centers, Hospitals (providing Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization and Consultation Liaison Psychiatric care), Retirement Centers, and Private Practice. With a commitment to his eclectic training and a broad experience treating all age groups, Dr. VanLeeuwen has a flexible, positive, and focused philosophy toward patient care as a physician and psychotherapist.
