Todd Anderson, MD
Dr. Anderson, a graduate of the University Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio School of Medicine, completed his psychiatric residency at Texas A&M University Health Sciences Center/Scott & White Hospital, where he served as both chief resident of psychiatry, as well as the house staff president. He served in the U. S. Air Force, where he earned his wings as a flight surgeon and served in numerous leadership roles, including squadron command. He has held teaching appointments with Texas A&M Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine & the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine. His primary interests include PTSD, Aeromedical psychiatry, and the spectrum of mood, as well as anxiety disorders. He is a vocal advocate of taking a team approach to treating psychiatric conditions, in which the patient has a valuable voice. His approach is to work together to determine what treatment strategy (including psychotherapy, medication, and lifestyle changes) is most effective, while educating each patient about their own mental health. He is a Fellow of The American Psychiatric Association and member of The Aerospace Medical Association and The American Medical Association.
